Catselli

Since 1960

A workshop in Nicosia, begun by Costas Catsellis — an engineer by instinct, drawn to machines and to materials no one had tried. Through high-frequency welding of PVC and composite materials, what began as a workshop became a factory: albums, folders, wallets and holders; tags, purses and diaries; custom work for hotels and businesses across the island. Materials were sourced across Europe — France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, England — and the first sheeting crossed the sea from Milano. Enquiries arrived from the Emirates, from Syria, from Japan. The experiment continues today with a new material for a new hand: plant-based leather, imported from Mexico. The original machines remain.
